1st Class Shipfitter – Full-Time Day Shift
Location: Morgan City, LA
SummarySeeking an experienced 1st Class Shipfitter for a marine repair yard. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, fitting and fabricating structural steel, performing vessel repairs, and working safely in a fast-paced shipyard environment.
Must-Haves- Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)
- 3+ years of shipfitting experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Experience with steel fitting, layout, and structural repairs
- Knowledge of shipyard tools and safety practices
- Reliable transportation
- 5+ years of marine repair experience
- Experience with barges, tugs, or offshore vessels
- NCCER or trade certification
- Rigging, forklift, or aerial lift certifications
- Are you fluent in both English and Spanish ?
- How many years of shipfitting experience do you have?
- Can you read and interpret shipyard blueprints and drawings?
- Do you have experience fitting and repairing structural steel on vessels or barges?
- Are you able to work full-time day shift in Morgan City, LA?
- What type of marine or shipyard projects have you worked on most recently?
