As a Mammography Technologist , you will play a critical role in performing high-quality diagnostic and screening breast imaging examinations while ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience. A typical day for a Mammography Technologist may include:- Produces optimum quality films with proper positioning and technique following ACR guidelines
- Assumes responsibility for obtaining and maintaining appropriate number of credits for MQSA and ARRT.
- Attends any mandatory education.
- Follows all policies and procedures of the ACC Breast Center
- Preforms exams to ensure patient comfort and safety
- Reviews patient history ensuring it is entered correctly, making changes as needed and completing exam in Epic.
- May perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.
- You are compassionate and excel at helping patients feel comfortable during sensitive procedures
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and image quality
- Communicate effectively with patients, radiologist, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a seamless care experience
- Take pride in following safety protocols, maintaining equipment, and adhering to facility standards
- Are dependable, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, supportive, imaging team.
- Graduate of Accredited School of Allied Health Program on Radiography
- Current license to practice in the state of New Jersey
- ARRT Registration
- Certification(s): Required: Mammography Certification
- 200 mammography exams performed in the last 24 months
- 15 mammography specific CEUs in the last 36 months
