We seek a Housing Policy & Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will thrive in a challenging, rewarding, process‑oriented environment. You will serve as the primary technical authority for Marine Corps housing policy, specifically overseeing the evolution of MCO 11000.22. Your role is to bridge the gap between high‑level legislative requirements (like NDAA and GAO findings) and boots‑on‑the‑ground execution. You’ll ensure that Marine Corps housing staff are trained, informed, and operating under the most current, compliant regulations. Location This position is located onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA Responsibilities Policy Development & Modernization: Lead the comprehensive update of the Marine Corps Family, Unaccompanied, and Transient Housing Management Manual. You will draft new sections to integrate GAO findings, NDAA language, and performance metrics, ensuring all revisions are routed for official Government approval. Stakeholder Integration: Act as the central point for tracking and incorporating feedback from various stakeholders during the manual’s review cycle, managing the document through to its final draft for USMC chain‑of‑command staffing. Technical Advisory: Provide expert guidance to MCICOM staff and subordinate commands. You’ll interpret established housing policies and elevate complex cases requiring official legal or director‑level interpretation to the Housing Director. Training & Readiness: Evaluate the proficiency of installation housing staff. You will design training schedules, identify capability gaps, and develop the necessary tools (briefings, resources, and RFI responses) to keep personnel compliant with shifting requirements. Digital & Data Management: Maintain the single source of information by updating the MCICOM Housing website with current policies and data. You will also build and manage a tracking system to monitor employee training completion. Required Qualifications Security Clearance: U.S. Clearance at the minimum level of Secret Education and Experience: Policy Expertise: Deep familiarity with DoW or USMC housing regulations and the legislative process (NDAA). Technical Writing: Ability to translate complex legal and audit findings (GAO) into clear, actionable manual entries. Strategic Communication: Experience briefing senior leadership and coordinating with diverse stakeholders. Project Management: Proven ability to track multi‑stage document reviews and manage training schedules across various commands.
