Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Estimator to join our team at Client in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will review project specifications, create cost estimates, and develop budgets for various construction projects. You will collaborate with different teams to assess resource needs and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets.
- Utilize construction industry software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift) for estimating and cost analysis.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure detailed and precise estimates.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to negotiate and clarify project requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to identify resource needs and align project objectives.
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with construction industry software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in creating detailed cost estimates and project budgets.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Additional experience in project management, construction site supervision, and knowledge of building codes and regulations is a plus.
