Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Pizza Line Cook to join our kitchen crew! In this role, you will be the heart of our kitchen, responsible for stretching dough, tossing pies, and managing the oven during our busiest rushes.

While we love to train enthusiastic foodies, prior experience working in a pizza restaurant is highly preferred for this role. If you know your way around a pizza peel, can sling dough under pressure, and take pride in the perfect crust, we want you on our line.

Key Responsibilities

• Pizza Preparation: Stretch, toss, and sauce dough according to our specific recipes; evenly portion premium toppings for a perfect balance.
• Oven Mastery: Operate and monitor the pizza oven (deck, conveyor, or wood-fired) to ensure even baking and a perfectly golden crust.
• Station Setup & Prep: Set up the pizza line for success—slice meats, chop veggies, portion cheeses, and prep dough batches for the shift.
• Speed & Accuracy: Read ticket orders accurately and ticket-to-table time efficiently, especially during high-volume dinner rushes.
• Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a spotless, sanitized workstation; adhere to all food safety, handling, and sanitation regulations (FIFO method).
• Teamwork: Communicate effectively with the expo, front-of-house, and dishwasher to keep the kitchen running like a well-oiled machine.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years of line cook experience specifically in a pizza restaurant or pizzeria is strongly preferred.
• Dough Skills: Proven ability to hand-stretch or toss pizza dough efficiently without tearing.
• Speed & Stamina: Ability to work quickly and stay cool while standing on your feet for long periods in a high-temperature kitchen environment.
• Precision: Detail-oriented with portion sizes to maintain food cost goals and consistency.
• Availability: Must be available to work peak hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification: Valid Food Handler’s Card (or willingness to obtain one within the first 30 days).
