Description Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning all age groups using standardized assessments and observation methodologies. Design individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations. Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing difficulties. Work hand-in-hand with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish a harmonious care approach. Provide educational resources for patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical visits. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to guarantee seamless continuity of treatment. Keep accurate, timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Pursue educational advancements through ongoing training and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of employment initiation.
