Retail AssistantAs a Retail Assistant you provide administrative support to the Director of Retail. Using administrative and computer skills, clear professional customer service, provide assistance to members and guests. On-the-job training is typical in this position, but a formal education in merchandising and retail is a plus.Essential Functions:Providing administrative support to the Director of RetailMaintain and update spreadsheets, purchase orders and sales reportsMonitor purchase orders to ensure prompt and timely deliveryOther duties can include coordinating promotional plans, following up with customer service claims and processing special orders for members and guestsProcessing invoices with new retail merchandise, tagging all new merchandise, assisting retail outlets with merchandisingComputer skills in spreadsheet and word-processing software are necessaryStrong personal and customer service skills to converse easily with associates, guests, and membersMust have strong analytical and decision-making skills, as well as knowledge of basic math principles, and strong attention to detail and accuracy skills are criticalMinimum Knowledge and Skills:Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelFormal Education and Job-Related Experience:This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma.
