What You’ll Do:

Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring a safe, comfortable experience.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing accurately following established procedures.

Verify patient demographics and ensure proper specimen labeling, including obtaining patient initials and signatures post-venipuncture to match the label with the patient.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all specimen collections and patient interactions.

Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients to foster an atmosphere of trust and confidence.

Adhere strictly to safety protocols, confidentiality standards, and all organizational policies.

Support process excellence by demonstrating leadership behaviors and efficiency in daily tasks.

Perform specimen processing duties, both forensic and clinical, with precision and care.

Work independently and flexibly across multiple clinical locations, including patient service centers and in-office phlebotomy sites, often with minimal supervision.

Assist in maintaining a safe and professional environment, promoting a positive image to patients and staff alike.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven phlebotomy skills with 1-3 years of experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Strong knowledge of specimen collection procedures and laboratory safety standards.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding for accurate recordkeeping.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple high-volume tasks efficiently.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Physical ability to perform blood draws and handle specimen processing activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Medical training background such as medical assistant or paramedic.

Phlebotomy certification and experience in a patient service center environment.

Experience working across multiple healthcare sites with varying schedules.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if traveling between locations.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to safety and confidentiality standards.

Must follow all organizational policies, including dress code, safety protocols, and patient privacy standards.
