Monitor Technician

Overview Position: Monitor Tech at Ashley Regional Medical Center (Vernal, Utah). Full‑time days shift. Monitors telemetry under RN supervision. Position Summary Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring and related duties. Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Handle With Care (HWC) certification within six months of hire or transfer. Required Skills & Responsibilities Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision. Work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identify significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervene appropriately; identify and correct for artifacts. Report abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Test equipment for proper working order; report problems to supervisor.
