Entry Level Facilities Technician

Entry-Level Facilities TechnicianWe are currently seeking an Entry-Level Facilities Technician to join our Warehouse Apparel team. This position is perfect for candidates eager to start a career in facilities maintenance within the apparel warehouse industry. While prior experience in maintenance is a plus, it is not required. We are looking for candidates with mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn. In this role, you will assist with the upkeep of automated material handling systems and support the daily operations of our Fulfillment Center, all while maintaining a safe and quality-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist senior technicians with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment in the warehouse apparel environment.Perform preventive maintenance tasks under supervision, ensuring all systems and equipment are functioning properly.Help troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues using basic diagnostic tools, and learn from more experienced technicians.Participate in routine inspections and cleaning of automated systems, conveyor belts, and other equipment within the warehouse.Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and documentation according to established procedures.Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies, ensuring they are ready and available for use.Assist with general facility maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement, basic plumbing repairs, and office furniture relocation.Work at heights of up to 40 feet when required.Follow safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, to ensure a safe working environment.Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervision/management.QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience or military service may be considered.Experience: No prior experience required, but a strong interest in mechanical and technical work is essential.SkillsBasic mechanical and electrical aptitude, with a desire to gain hands-on experience.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.Ability to work safely and follow established safety protocols.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Strong communication and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsBasic understanding of electrical systems or mechanical components (can be gained through schooling or hands-on experience).Interest in learning about automated systems and machinery used in warehouse apparel operations.Familiarity with tools and basic maintenance tasks.A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the role.Why Apply?This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to break into facilities maintenance within the warehouse apparel industry.
