Engineering Project Manager

Non-It Project Manager
The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
- Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
- Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
- Track projects through technical milestones and review
- Track budget on projects and timelines
- Budget tracking and analysis
Interaction with team:
- Reviewing monthly budget summaries
- Analyzing budget anomalies to drive accuracy and awareness
- Track and record project milestone inputs
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelors in any major Engineering field
- 5+ years experience in an engineering or project leader role
- Experience leading projects
Desired Skills
- PMO planning
- Electrical, software engineering background
- Knowledge of electronics
- Data visualization tools like Power BI
- Software tool capability like Visual Basics, Microsoft Excel
- Ability to present to upper levels of management
This role requires being onsite 3 days a week in Peoria, IL.
