Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT RT(T) certification and 1+ year of specialty experience for a hospital Radiation Oncology department.

Details

• Hospital Radiation Oncology department setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• Uses EPIC for electronic medical records

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program required
• ARRT certification with RT(T) credential required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year experience in radiation therapy specialty required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes per Radiation Oncologist prescriptions
• Perform patient simulation, basic patient care, and patient education
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment including immobilization devices and blocks
• Verify treatment MUs and beam energy, documenting cumulative and site-specific doses
• Perform treatment simulation including cerrobend block fabrication
• Develop x-rays and port films as needed
• Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives
• Identify and escalate potential safety hazards or process improvements
• Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
