Job Description
The Production Assembler on B Shift plays a key role in supporting high-quality, efficient manufacturing operations. In this position, you assemble products on a production line, operate and maintain machinery and tools, and ensure that all products meet established quality and safety standards. You work closely with a team in a modern automotive manufacturing environment, contribute to meeting production targets, and continuously develop your skills and knowledge of assembly processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly line tasks according to established procedures and instructions from the supervisor.
- Operate and maintain machinery, tools, and equipment used on the assembly line.
- Ensure products are assembled correctly and consistently meet quality standards.
- Inspect assembled products for faults, defects, or inconsistencies and take appropriate action when issues are identified.
- Keep the assembly line area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or process issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate safety gear while working on the line.
- Meet daily and weekly production targets and deadlines while maintaining quality and safety.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the assembly line team to support smooth production flow.
- Load product pieces slated for assembly onto the line and pack completed, assembled products into boxes.
- Apply basic math and measurement skills to ensure accurate assembly and adherence to specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement by learning and adapting to new assembly processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and facility operations.
Essential Skills
- Experience or familiarity with production, manufacturing, or assembly work.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time during the shift.
- Strong manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for precise assembly tasks.
- High attention to detail to identify defects and ensure consistent product quality.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, guidelines, and supervisor instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math and measurement skills for accurate assembly work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, procedures, and tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly line work is preferred.
- Experience in automotive production environments is beneficial.
- Interest in continuous improvement and developing technical assembly skills.

Work Environment
This role is based inside a newer, modern manufacturing facility within the automotive industry. The work takes place on a production assembly line, using standard manufacturing tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment. The B Shift schedule runs from 4:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., requiring extended periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks. Team members work in a structured, safety-focused setting that emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols and protective gear appropriate for an automotive manufacturing facility.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Bloomingdale, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38480.00 - $38480.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
