Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As an Equipment Operator, you will set up and operate production machines to cut, bend, straighten, or form parts as specified by blueprints, lay-up sequence, and/or templates. You will perform preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting. This role requires operating at least three pieces of equipment, including shear, punch press, break press, saw, drill press, and roller.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines to cut, bend, straighten, or form parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting on machines.
• Operate at least three pieces of equipment, such as shear, punch press, break press, saw, drill press, and roller.
• Perform manufacturing inspection and maintain quality standards.
• Load, unload, and palletize materials.
• Utilize overhead cranes and inspect equipment as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in operating three equipment types: press break, shear, punch press, saw drill press, or roller.
• Understanding of technical aspects of the job.
• Ability to follow verbal and simple written instructions and procedures.
• Accurate measurement skills.
• Capacity to safely and efficiently perform all essential functions.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional work environment.
• Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Industrial Manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in a non-climate controlled facility.
• Prior production line experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a heavy industrial steel fabrication facility, requiring steel toe boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and ear plugs. The building is open-air with no climate control, making it hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The company has been an industry leader in highway safety products for over 50 years, dedicated to bringing innovative safety products to an ever-changing market.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
