If you enjoy solving complex molding challenges, influencing part design, and seeing your tooling designs become reality, we'd love to talk with you.Why Join Aprios?100% Employee-Owned CompanyHigh-impact, visible engineering roleOpportunity to lead tooling strategy for new product launchesCollaborative, hands-on engineering cultureCompetitive compensation and benefitsStrong opportunities for professional growthWhat You'll DoLead Design for Manufacturability (DFM)Drive DFM reviews with customers and cross-functional teamsEvaluate part designs for moldability and manufacturing successRecommend design improvements related to gating, draft, cooling, ejection, warpage, and moreUtilize mold flow analysis to optimize tool performanceReview prints and GD&T requirements and establish steel-safe strategiesIdentify risks early and drive action plans before tool kickoffOwn Tool Engineering & Mold DesignDefine tooling strategies including cavitation, runner systems, mold types, steel selection, and cycle time targetsDesign injection molds and mold components using SolidWorksCreate detailed 3D models, drawings, and tooling specificationsDesign mold modifications, replacement inserts, fixtures, and end-of-arm toolingPartner with outsourced tool builders and internal toolmakers throughout tool constructionSupport Program Launch & Continuous ImprovementManage tool builds from kickoff through qualification and production releaseValidate tool performance and production readinessTroubleshoot tooling and molding issues to support manufacturingCollaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to deliver successful launchesWhat We're Looking ForExperience designing plastic injection molds and tooling systemsStrong understanding of DFM, moldability, and plastic part design principlesProficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD designKnowledge of hot runner systems, cooling, venting, ejection, slides, and liftersExperience working with mold makers, tool shops, and manufacturing teamsUnderstanding of GD&T, mold flow analysis, and quality planning processesStrong problem-solving and project management skillsExcellent communication skills with customers and cross-functional teamsIdeal BackgroundTool EngineeringMold DesignPlastics EngineeringInjection Molding ManufacturingProduct Development & New Program LaunchesAPQP / PPAP experience preferredBuild More Than Tools.
