Registered Nurse PCU

Role The Registered Nurse PCU provides high-quality, patient-centered care, coordinating pre- and post-operative nursing in collaboration with medical staff. Responsibilities Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, perform procedures as ordered, document care thoroughly, administer medications and monitor responses, and stay informed on relevant medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years; current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; BLS certification; at least one year of nursing experience; preferred certifications in specialty areas and a master's degree in nursing. Skills Strong assessment, documentation, medication administration, and patient advocacy skills, with knowledge of relevant procedures and equipment.
