Medical Assistant (Full Time)

Job Summary

Full‑time Medical Assistant at our Toms River office. Responsible for performing high‑quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a dermatology setting. Previous healthcare experience required.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care offered to patients and providers.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations and procedures within established guidelines.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps to the best of your ability.
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order.
• Provide pre‑care and post‑care treatment instructions as needed.
• Scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies daily and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low‑level supplies.
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
• Attend all in‑house training and continued education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Health‑care experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient relations and customer service skills.
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.

Schedule & Compensation

Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am – 7:30pm. Flexible to help cover in a team environment. Hourly Pay Range: $18 – $22.
