Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Operating Room (OR) specialist position available in an acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized surgical services across a variety of service lines, excluding cardiovascular. Candidates will work a 4-day, 12-hour shift schedule, with responsibilities including handling laparoscopic, general, trauma, and specialty cases, while ensuring adherence to all clinical safety protocols. Job Details Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 48 hours per week starting 09/14/2026 through 12/14/2026. Required Qualifications: BLS certification, active IL license (or in application), minimum 2.5 years of operating room experience, strong trauma and general surgery background, and proficiency in general OR procedures including laparoscopic, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, and trauma cases. Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification, Cerner charting system experience. Responsibilities include working with all service lines except cardiovascular, responding to emergency codes, and operating various surgical equipment such as electrosurgical units and Hana tables. Required experience includes skills in abdominal, vaginal hysterectomy, organ donation procedures, and trauma management involving GSWs, MVAs, and amputations. Additional requirements include working with adult and geriatric populations, floating within scope when needed, and participating in on-call duties once weekly.
