Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Director of Finance:
• Oversee daily Finance operations and supervise Accounts Payable and Billing team members
• Manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes
• Monitor billing, accounts receivable, contract activity, and revenue tracking for accuracy and timeliness
• Assist with audit preparation, supporting schedules, and financial documentation
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, and reconciliations while partnering with senior finance leadership
• Complete ad hoc tasks & projects as requested
Qualifications for the Assistant Director of Finance:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Nonprofit accounting and finance experience required
• Progressive accounting or finance experience, including supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting
• Sage 300 experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and experience supporting audits and financial analysis preferred
