Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult Labor & Delivery patients in a 9-bed unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and assessment, including electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
• Respond to obstetric emergencies including fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, postpartum hemorrhage, and placental complications
• Manage and support patients experiencing conditions such as preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, and placenta previa
• Float to Postpartum unit as needed to support patient care continuity
• Document patient care accurately using Centricity and Meditech EHR systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Required certifications: ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, EFM, and BLS
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, and postpartum care
• Experience with Centricity and/or Meditech EHR platforms
• Strong time management skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating to Postpartum units
• Familiarity with a broad range of obstetric diagnoses including preeclampsia, placental abruption, and normal spontaneous labor
• Demonstrated adaptability, strong communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail
