FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.General Job Summary:The Power Electronics/Motor Control Engineer shall be responsible for the development, design, integration and test of Aerospace motor drive/control systems, power electronics design & distribution systems, and generator control and rectification.Essential Job Functions:Applies knowledge of power electronics hardware design to sensorless motor control systems.Applies knowledge of power electronics design for high power density/high frequency applications.Designs and assists in the development of new electro-mechanical systems and prototypes.Responsible for interpreting requirements, creating electrical schematics, performing electrical simulations, and delivering functional hardware.Support the design and development of power control & distribution systems, energy storage, and electro-mechanical machinery.Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.Other job duties as assigned.
