Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care and inpatient experience.

Acute Care Hospital unit treating adult patients

Primary patient population includes ortho, neuro, ICU, and oncology cases

Day shift schedule, 8:00am-4:30pm, with Wednesdays 10:00am-6:30pm

Very limited weekend requirements

Epic experience preferred

Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required

Inpatient experience required for consideration

BLS certification required

MA state license required if applicable

Epic charting system experience preferred

Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, and treatment across ortho, neuro, ICU, and oncology populations

Utilizes a wide range of therapeutic techniques including gait training, extremity mobilization, and pain assessment

Works with various equipment including gait belts, walkers, lifts, and specialty beds

Provides patient and family education, home exercise programs, and safety/injury prevention guidance

Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days as scheduled

Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate

Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system

Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
