Pride Health is hiring a Imaging Tech Ito support our client’s medical facility in Tampa FL 33617. This is 4-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Title: Imaging Tech I – 3rd shift
Location: Tampa FL 33617
Pay Rate: $19.78 per hour
Duration: 4 Months+
Schedule: 3rd shift Tuesday-Saturday 12am-8:30am (40hr/week)
*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.*
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepared laboratory requisitions and documentation for scanning and imaging processes while maintaining accuracy and compliance standards.
- Reviewed requisitions for missing labels, staples, paper clips, rubber bands, tape, adhesives, ripped pages, and loose scripts prior to processing.
- Identified and resolved documentation issues or escalated concerns to the Group Lead and Supervisor for timely resolution.
- Sorted, organized, picked up, and delivered requisitions to Imaging and Billing departments in a timely manner.
- Maintained accurate written documentation and completed assigned tasks within required turnaround times.
- Handled multiple repetitive tasks simultaneously in a high-volume production environment while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
- Operated computer systems and utilized data entry skills to support imaging and requisition workflows.
- Maintained compliance with HIPAA, PHI confidentiality regulations, safety standards, and Quest Diagnostics policies and procedures.
- Worked in biohazard environments while utilizing appropriate PPE including lab coats, masks, gloves, goggles, and protective equipment.
- Maintained clean and organized workspaces in accordance with 5S workplace standards.
- Demonstrated flexibility with work schedules including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call support as needed.
- Communicated effectively with staff and management both verbally and in writing while maintaining professionalism.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Supported team-based work environments and contributed toward departmental productivity and continuous improvement goals.
- Utilized good judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve workflow and documentation issues efficiently.
- Followed safety procedures while maneuvering carts, racks, and handling large volumes of documents and requisitions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a production, laboratory, healthcare, or medical office environment preferred.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory requisition handling preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and PHI confidentiality standards.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, repetitive production environments.
- Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to maintain punctuality, attendance, and schedule flexibility.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
