Position Summary
RITOS, a delivery-only breakfast burrito brand, is seeking a reliable line cook to support weekend service. The line cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling breakfast burritos to recipe specifications, and ensuring all stations remain fully stocked and organized throughout service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion all burrito ingredients, including eggs, potatoes, proteins, salsas, and house-made hot sauce
- Assemble and cook breakfast burritos according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Monitor inventory levels at each station and restock items as needed to maintain a steady flow throughout service
- Set up stations before service and complete breakdown and cleaning at the end of each shift
- Fulfill delivery orders accurately and within target timing for pickup (DoorDash, Uber Eats, and direct orders)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and health-code-compliant work area at all times
- Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory counts, and general kitchen upkeep
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a line cook or in a high-volume kitchen; breakfast or brunch experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain consistency during peak service periods
- NYC Food Protection Certificate, or willingness to obtain one prior to starting
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced kitchen environment where team members share responsibilities
Schedule
- Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; early morning shifts (approximately 6AM - 3PM)
- Location: 307 W 38th Street, Manhattan
- Employment Type: Part-time, hourly
