Watershed Restoration Specialist II (HR-26-141) Nez Perce Tribe – Department of Fisheries Resources Management Location: McCall, Idaho Closing Date: June 12th, 2026 Starting Wage: $28.64/hour or higher (DOE) | Grade 19 Position Overview The Nez Perce Tribe is seeking a motivated and qualified professional to fill a full-time Watershed Restoration Specialist II position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly experienced team dedicated to restoring and protecting aquatic ecosystems critical to Endangered Species Act listed fish (Chinook salmon, steelhead and bull trout) recovery. This position blends office-based technical work during the winter with hands-on field work and project oversite during the snow free months. Office Responsibilities Analyze and summarize watershed data Prepare reports and technical documents Utilize GIS tools (ArcGIS) Develop restoration plans Secure environmental compliance for projects Monitor and report on project implementation Assist with grant writing and project development Coordinate with project leadership and partner agencies Field Responsibilities Supervise field crews Conduct fisheries and stream habitat surveys Perform culvert and road assessments Oversee restoration projects such as culvert replacement, road removal, riparian planting, water quality and quantity monitoring. Minimum Qualifications Three (3) years of related professional experience OR one (1) year of professional experience with a Master’s degree At least one (1) year of supervisory experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Note: Experience cannot be substituted for education.
