Radiology Tech FT

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood is seeking a motivated Radiology Tech to join our team. We have 6 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. Candidate needs to be available Monday‑Friday, with schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate must be available for some early mornings and later evenings. Job Summary Perform duties in the primary work area (IV and contrast administration, orthopedic radiology, pediatric radiology, operating room radiology, trauma radiology, GI radiology, outpatient and inpatient diagnostic radiology, myelography, arthrography, pain blocks, cholangiograms, CXR, modified specimen mammogram). Operate X‑ray equipment to capture radiographs as prescribed by physician; adjust exposure, voltage, and current per radiation safety procedures. Prepare, set up, and label medical supplies, instruments, and equipment; explain procedures to patients; position patients with immobilization and protective devices; report changes in patient condition. Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physicians with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies. Record exposure details, label film, and sort as required; use PACs to send exams for interpretation. Consult with lead X‑ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established quality standards. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, process film per standardized procedures, and act as a CR reader when assigned. Utilize downtime for room turnovers, restocking, and specialty cart management.

Required Skills: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology. Minimum 2 years of previous experience preferred. AART Registered and CPR Current. Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission regulations. Must possess independent decision‑making skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families. Must be able to communicate verbally and non‑verbally in a professional way.
