Registered Nurse Urgent AidBe a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Urgent Aid at our Family Care Center in Tinley Park. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.Eligible for a Sign-On Bonus up to $15,000!The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordinating of and performing direct nursing care for patients, utilizing concepts of the nursing process. Serves as resource, preceptor, mentor and leader for physicians, professional peers, and other fellow employees. Collaborates closely with physicians to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate the patient's plan of care and the patient's outcomes. Demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge to provide complex nursing skills and delegates tasks to other team members according to job specific competencies as appropriate to the age of the patients served as delineated in the Urgent Aid Scope of Care. Responsible for and monitors the quality of patient care and patient satisfaction. Accurately and independently pursues professional development opportunities. Assumes responsibility to assure the daily operations of the department are effectively and efficiently maintained.Essential Job FunctionsDelivers care in a financially responsible manner, conserving resources, supporting budget and staffing guidelines, and ensuring patient safetyFollows proper identification procedures prior to giving careFunctions as an interactive resource in clinical and professional practice and is responsible for designing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating patient care and utilizing the concepts of the nursing process.
