Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at SC Diesel, and a gas mechanic to work at our sister business Boonville Auto Repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical knowledge. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles. We have heated and air conditioned shops to keep you in comfortable working conditions 12 months a year.

Duties

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, tire service, and brake inspections.
• Utilize schematics to align components accurately during repairs.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each job.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics for repair processes.
• Ability to perform tire service and other essential maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills to transmit solutions effectively during repairs.
