RN Cardiology Clinic

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiology Clinic provides professional nursing care to patients by following established standards and healthcare practices. This role involves making professional judgments related to patient care, assisting providers with patient care and education, and actively participating as part of the healthcare team to coordinate care for patients, families, and caregivers. Responsibilities:

• Provide quality nursing care including examination, diagnostic, and treatment procedures.
• Assist healthcare providers in patient care and education.
• Engage patients, families, and caregivers in coordination of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures.
• React calmly and effectively during emergency situations.
• Communicate clearly and follow written and verbal instructions from physicians.
• Identify, analyze problems, prioritize, and make confident decisions to recommend solutions.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification meeting American Heart Association standards.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, patient care, medications, and patient education.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
• At least one year of nursing experience preferred.

• Familiarity with office procedures and medical terminology.
• Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
• Experience in cardiology or related clinical settings.

• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.
