Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine Faculty The Children's Mercy Kansas City Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine (AYAMed) is seeking a fellowship-trained, BC/BE Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine specialist to join the faculty. The duties of this full-time position are primarily as an academic clinician educator and/or clinician-researcher. The AYAMed team consists of 6 adolescent and young adult medicine trained specialist faculty, 1 faculty pediatrician with eating disorder expertise, up to 3 fellows, 2 eating disorder nurse practitioners, a clinical pharmacogenomics PhD researcher/nurse practitioner, Title X Director/nurse practitioner, social workers, staff nurses, care assistants, and clinical research coordinators. Your clinical responsibilities will include outpatient care at four Children's Mercy clinic locations in metro Kansas City and Synergy Services for unhoused youth; inpatient consultations at two Kansas City area Children's Mercy Hospitals; and working with multidisciplinary specialty clinics such as Eating Disorders Center, Gender Pathways Services, Medical Adolescent PCOS Program, and Complex Syncope Clinic. Research support includes working with two K‑23 Awarded faculty researchers and multiple research projects, accessing the Office of Research Business Management and Medical Writing Center for funding, implementation, and publication. Applicants must be fellowship-trained specialists, licensed to practice in Kansas, hold a BC/BE in Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence, integrity, collegiality, antiracism, and inclusion.
