Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for our highly regarded unit. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in nursing care, particularly in performing sterile vaginal exams and managing triage efficiently and independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision.
• Handle triage and manage high-risk deliveries.
• Provide nursing care during labor and delivery, ensuring maternal and fetal safety.
• Support and educate patients in their birthing choices, including breastfeeding and newborn care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP.
• Expert experience in conducting sterile vaginal exams is mandatory.
• Epic charting system experience is required.
