Some salespeople live and die by the next big close. This role rewards you again and again: every recurring account you win pays you a recurring commission, month after month, for as long as that client stays with us and you're on our team. Bring in good accounts, keep them happy, and your income grows on top of itself while you keep selling.

Redwood City Alarms monitors, inspects, and services fire alarm and life safety systems across San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties. This market is full of commercial and multi-family buildings being underserved by big, impersonal alarm companies. Your job is to earn those accounts one relationship at a time and bring them home to a company that will actually take care of them.

• Paid every month, for every account. Each client you bring on pays you a recurring commission for as long as they stay and you're here. Win steadily for a couple of years and you've built an income that keeps growing while you keep selling.
• Uncapped, and built around you. This is a base salary plus uncapped recurring commission. Tell us what you want to earn and how you'll get there, and we'll structure a plan designed to pay you past it. No ceiling.
• Hunt bigger game. Now that we're an authorized Siemens dealer, alongside Potter and Kidde, you can take over high-rise and large commercial buildings that run Siemens systems. Bigger accounts, bigger recurring checks.
• You own the relationship for its life. You're not a name on the contract who disappears. You stay the client's go-to, the one who makes it right when it matters. That's what keeps the account, and your commission, alive.
• We win on trust and value, not the lowest price. You earn accounts away from the big, impersonal players by out-caring them: answering the phone, showing up, and keeping your word.

What you'll do

• Win over commercial and multi-family building owners, property managers, and facility directors currently monitored by someone else.
• Build the relationship, make the case, and move their monitoring and inspection business to Redwood City Alarms.
• Keep a full pipeline, stay in front of your market, and bring new accounts on month after month.
• Stay the trusted point of contact for every account you win, with our service team behind you to deliver.

What you bring

• A track record of winning new business and keeping the clients you win, in a local, in-person market.
• The discipline to own your pipeline, keep it clean in a CRM, and be the face of the company without being managed.
• Attention to detail: you sweat the numbers so a quote or proposal goes out right, and you keep your word on what you promised.
• Straight, clear communication, written and verbal. It's the single most important tool you'll use here.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to cover SF, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties.
• A plus, not a must: experience in alarm, monitoring, security, or life safety. A proven closer who learns fast will be considered.

Compensation & benefits

• Base salary plus uncapped recurring commission: open-ended and built around your production. Tell us the number you're after and we'll build the plan to beat it.
• Recurring commission that keeps paying as long as your clients stay and you're on the team, and grows every month you keep winning new accounts.
• Health and dental insurance offered. We contribute up to $1,200/month toward your combined health and dental coverage for you and your family. You cover any difference above that.

Location

Field-based across the Bay Area. You should already be established in the region.
