In this role you will be involved in leading or participating in analysis of future Missile Defense System (MDS) architectures and concepts, and modeling and simulation (M&S) tool development to support MDS architecture assessment.What You'll Be Doing:Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps and/or improve performance Assist with the development of analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools utilizing the DoD High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, assess analysis results, prepare analysis briefs/reports, and provide reviews of analysis products Support modeling & simulation (M&S) efforts related to the above to tailor tools to specific analysis plansWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCIBachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty- (NOTE: Newly-hired PhD graduates are typically hired into this level.)5+ years of related professional experienceSolid understanding of the current MDS architecture and future conceptsExperience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architecturesExperience with MATLAB What Desired Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Field with 7+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project Active TS/SCI ClearanceExperience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M&S of MDS architecturesExperience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving both directed and kinetic energy weapons and other future conceptsExperience with HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plusExperience with BMD BenchmarkExperience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activitiesAbility to perform technology assessment & analysis and provide insight on the utility of potentially useful technologiesSpecialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signaturesMBSE experience related to missile defense system architecturesSecurity Clearance Requirement:An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
