Role Description This full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role is based in St Louis, MO. The CDL A Truck Driver will safely operate company vehicles to transport products between facilities, distribution centers, and customer locations while complying with all federal, state, and local regulations. Daily responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, maintaining accurate delivery logs, and communicating proactively with dispatch and warehouse teams. The driver will assist with loading and unloading as needed, verify shipment accuracy, and handle documentation such as bills of lading and delivery receipts. The role also includes maintaining a clean, safe vehicle; reporting maintenance issues promptly; and representing Action Industries professionally with customers and partners. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and proven experience as a professional truck driver. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and safe driving practices. Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections, basic troubleshooting, and report maintenance needs promptly. Experience with load securement, basic material handling, and safe use of equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification a plus). Reliable time management, route planning, and organizational skills to meet delivery schedules safely and consistently. Professional communication and customer service skills when interacting with customers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff. Ability to lift and move materials as needed, and to work in warehouse and loading dock environments. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in manufacturing, distribution, or the building products industry is a plus.
