Overview
Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) - Flexible/PRN - Austin, TX - Rehab Without Walls Neurorehabilitation
Who we are looking for:
- An experienced COTA, seeking a primary treating therapist role (10-20 hrs/week)
- Providing functional rehabilitation wherever life happens, whether at home, school, work, or in the community
- Treat your client beyond a staged environment into real life experiences like cooking in their kitchen, navigating grocery stores, restaurants, outdoor activities, and the workplace
- You thrive in an autonomous setting, and value being a part of a collaborative team of dynamic therapists

Responsibilities
- Assist patients in exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist Occupational Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures
- Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
- Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
- Current CPR certification
