Medical Director – Macomb County Jail Compensation Information: $319,297.68 – $390,252.72 per year Department (Org): Administration Overview Provide clinical leadership at a facility, ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulations. Deliver direct care, supervise staff, and coordinate with internal and external providers. Make a difference every day in the lives of the underserved. Key Responsibilities Provide direct medical care and document all clinical encounters in compliance with standards. Supervise and support healthcare staff and ensure adherence to clinical protocols. Oversee chronic care clinics, utilization review, and quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to enhance patient care and outcomes. Maintain clinical oversight and consult on complex medical cases or referrals. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Medical school graduate Experience: Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Current licensure in the state of employment. Current DEA number. CPR certification. Privileges and CME requirements maintained for continued medical practice in the state. Additional Details Full‑time position. Work Monday‑Friday with on‑call responsibilities.
