License: Registered in Obstetrics by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Registered in OB/GYN by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification, Fetal Echocardiography certification

Description: Assists the radiologist in performing invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal fetal ultrasound processes. Provides standardization and training to residents regarding these exams. Consults with patients and evaluates any contraindications, such as medications, insufficient patient preparation, or the patient's inability or unwillingness to tolerate the procedure. Performs ultrasound procedures under general or direct supervision as defined by the procedure or physician. Conducts essential maternal-fetal ultrasound examinations, including detailed anatomical evaluation, complete fetal echocardiogram, growth assessment, and fetal well-being assessments. Guides needle procedures, examines maternal pelvic anatomy, and employs advanced diagnostic 3D/4D techniques. Conducts ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and records anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for interpretation by a physician. Assists the supervising physician with invasive procedures as required. Analyzes sonography findings throughout the examination to ensure a comprehensive exam is completed. Recognizes situations or abnormalities that require immediate observation by the radiologist. Images structures while simultaneously obtaining Doppler signal and recording images and Doppler shift recordings along with patient information for interpretation. Advises the radiologist and referring provider of results and provides preliminary information regarding diagnostic evaluations of maternal-fetal scans.
