Assembler

Job Overview Modern, a product brand of ProMach, is seeking an Equipment/Machine Assembler to build high‑precision mechanical assemblies for packaging machinery. The role requires strong problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and hands‑on experience with mechanical components and precision measuring instruments. Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering prints, specifications, electrical schematics, pneumatic drawings, manufacturing manuals, and verbal/written instructions to determine assembly procedures. Plan and execute assembly procedures to ensure efficient and timely progress. Assemble complex mechanical units, position, erect, align, level sub‑assemblies, and integrate operations with precision. Perform fitting, aligning, timing, calibration, and other operations necessary for machine assembly. Test machines using prescribed methods to verify performance before shipment. Use hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring and gauging instruments (scales, calipers, etc.) to inspect parts for machining finish and dimensional accuracy. Follow all safety requirements for hand and power tool use, forklift and hoist operation, and housekeeping. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree or training preferred. 3–4 years of experience as a machinery assembler. Strong interpersonal, multitasking, and organizational skills. Basic math skills, including fractions and decimal equivalents. Understanding of the metric system and conversion from inches/feet to mm/cm/m. Proficient with precision measuring procedures and interpreting engineering drawings. Good mental and visual abilities and dexterity. Regular attendance and punctuality. Ability to lift more than 25 lbs. Benefits Base salary range: $20–$25 per hour.
