School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Location: Tavares, FL Company: Strides Therapy & Educational Services About Us Strides Therapy & Educational Services is a reputable and client‑centred pediatric multidisciplinary practice with two locations within Anne Arundel County in Maryland. Our team consists of Speech‑Language Pathologists, Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Special Education Teachers. We emphasize using evidence‑based, personalized care. Position Overview As a Speech‑Language Pathologist in our private practice, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions to children with speech‑language and/or feeding/swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate is a passionate and knowledgeable team member who wants to grow their clinical skills in a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. Feeding, bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or AAC experience is preferred but not required. The candidate must be available to work after school hours. A typical week’s schedule will include working 3 days from 10‑7, and two days from 8‑5, with one of the earlier days on Friday. Every day includes an hour lunch break. Day‑to‑Day Tasks Complete formal evaluations, develop plans of care, and conduct therapy sessions. Write progress reports and discharge summaries. Educate families and caregivers, and communicate with families and team members as needed. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. Clean and sanitize used materials and keep the workspace tidy. Everyone is very supportive and willing to help each other. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program. State licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist (if applicable). Educator Certificate (if applicable). Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA unless a CF. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience in private practice or outpatient settings preferred. Knowledge of insurance billing and documentation practices is a plus. Dedication to providing culturally competent and client‑centered care.
