About the Role:

East N West Animal Hospital is hiring for technician assistant. At East n West we provide quality care to our patients with a blend of eastern and western practice. This position involves assisting the doctors and your coworkers in providing excellent care to our clients and patients. At East n West we work as a team, so ability to multitask and work in all area of a veterinary office our required.

• At least 1 year experience in the veterinary field is required
• Experience or training in animal handling and basic veterinary procedures.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy (drawing blood) on animals safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with medical instruments and clinical support tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with lab sample setup and reading
• Proficiency in Avimark
• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal handling and restraint during examinations and procedures.
• Assist Veterinarians in rooms
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as drawing blood, preparing animals for surgery, placing IV catheters, cytology prep, giving SQ/IM and IV injections
• Maintain and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling phone inquiries.
• Must be able to stand on feet for extended period of time
• Must be able to lift 40lbs
