Position Description Project is based in San Antonio, and Dallas, TX. PARIC Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to support both field operations and project management teams. This role provides hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle, working alongside Superintendents in the field and Project Engineers/Managers in the office. The Assistant Superintendent will develop strong working knowledge of construction operations, gradually taking on more ownership and demonstrating the ability to perform core Superintendent functions with increasing independence. This role is ideal for someone eager to build a long‑term career in field leadership. Responsibilities Support field operations by assisting the Superintendent with daily project activities, coordination, and execution. Assist with look‑ahead scheduling and help track progress to ensure alignment with the overall project schedule. Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to overall team performance and project success. Support cost tracking efforts, minimize waste, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure financial accountability. Assist in coordinating trade partner bid solicitations, scope reviews, and buyout processes. Maintain compliance logs and support contract documentation and administration. Collaborate with field and office teams to resolve scope gaps and coordination issues. Begin contributing to estimating efforts and verifying that bids align with field conditions. Assist with quality control by applying established standards and helping monitor work in place. Support safety initiatives by ensuring adherence to jobsite safety protocols and contributing to a safe work environment. Communicate effectively with project teams, trade partners, and clients to maintain alignment and transparency. Take on increasing responsibility in reporting, documentation, and field coordination activities. Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement efforts. Build strong relationships with internal teams and trade partners while delivering a high level of service. Begin mentoring peers and contributing to a positive, team‑oriented environment. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience will be considered. In lieu of formal education, candidates with trade labor experience, foreman‑level experience, or demonstrated field leadership will be strongly considered. 2–4 years of construction experience, preferably in a field or project engineering role. Exposure to both field operations and project management functions preferred. Basic understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and documentation. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to take initiative, learn quickly, and work with minimal day‑to‑day oversight. Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
