They oversee workflow, supervise technicians, and provide educational support to healthcare teams. Additionally, they lead process improvement initiatives, offer training to new staff, and may serve as a liaison between pharmacy services and specific practice areas.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy plus 3 years of experience working as a pharmacist in a retail or hospital setting, or PGY-1 residencyCertification as a licensed Pharmacist by the State of Arkansas or eligible for licensure by the State of ArkansasGraduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D.Advanced degree – (MS, MBA, MHA, MPA, etc.) AND/OR Completion of a general or administrative ASHP-accredited residencyResponsibilities:Reviews and interprets prescriber's orders and detects appropriateness of therapyPrepares and dispenses medications.Prepares sterile admixtures using proper aseptic technique.Prepares chemotherapy according to departmental policies and procedures.Answers questions from physicians and nurses.Serves as a primary or co-preceptor for College of Pharmacy rotational students.Provides formal, in-depth training of students and new staff.Serves as primary trainer for newly onboarded employees.Assists with development of educational materials and in-services for staff development.Directs, advises, and instructs staff in assigned area in all activities pertaining to job duties and functions.Assists leadership in all aspects of pharmacy operations in area of assigned responsibility.Serves as a liaison between the pharmacy service line and the assigned practice area.Works well as part of a team and with all shifts.Displays a positive attitude that contributes to the overall morale of the inpatient pharmacy team.Corrects, rather than ignores, problems involving any issues within the medication use process or normal operation of the pharmacy.Promotes a safe working environment by adhering to UAMS patient safety plan and ensuring compliance with policies.Adheres to pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies.Ensures equipment and facilities are used, calibrated, and maintained properly (Baxa, KitCheck, Pyxis).Completes assigned cleaning duties and documents appropriately.Works with leadership on quality improvement projects.Provides input on new initiatives.First to learn new processes to help train other staff.Other duties as assigned.Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experience.Required Documents to Apply: License or Certificate (see special instructions for submission instructions), List of three Professional References (name, email, business title), ResumeOptional Documents: Proof of Veteran StatusRecruitment Contact Information: Please contact View email address on click.appcast.io for any recruiting related questions.All application materials must be uploaded to the University of Arkansas System Career Site do not send to listed recruitment contact.This position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
