The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in an emergency setting, demonstrating strong clinical skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.Job DetailsShift: Nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM)Shift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekExperience Required: 1 year in an emergency room settingWeekend Requirement: Every other weekendHoliday Requirement: Expected to work some holidaysUnit InformationUnit Type: Emergency RoomBed Capacity: 17 beds, can flex to 22 with hallway bedsNurse-Patient Ratio: 1:4Common Diagnoses: Stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, psychosis, and behavioral healthOn Average, Patients Treated Daily: 66Psych Patient Rooms: 4 designated rooms for psychiatric patientsEssential ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive patient assessments, planning, and interventions in an emergency setting.Utilize critical thinking skills to manage acute and chronic medical issues.Administer medications and therapies as ordered by the physicians.Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.Participate in patient triage, if qualified by experience.Supervise and support the work of emergency department technicians and support staff.QualificationsRequired Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS, PALSExperience Required: Minimum of 1 year in an emergency room setting; behavioral health experience preferred.Work EnvironmentThe unit is supported by 24/7 security personnel.Staff members are treated with respect and encouraged to contribute positively to the team dynamics.Travelers may have opportunities for training and extension of contracts based on performance.Join our team and become part of a supportive and collaborative working environment where your contributions matter and professional growth is encouraged.Client Details State WA
