Echocardiographer Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Echo Technician/Echocardiographer responsible for performing and interpreting echocardiograms including M-mode, 2-D, pulse and continuous Doppler, color Doppler, contrast, and stress echocardiograms. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care for adult and geriatric patients while ensuring timely documentation and accurate diagnostic results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiograms including M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, color Doppler, contrast, and stress echo procedures.
• Complete echo worksheets and required calculations accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide care and assessments for adult and geriatric patients.
• Explain procedures and instructions clearly to patients.
• Assist Cardiologists during diagnostic procedures.
• Document all exams in patient medical records.
• Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment and assigned work areas.
• Ensure rooms are properly stocked with supplies.
• Support and assist students and fellows with on-the-job training.
• Participate in continuing education, seminars, and training programs.
• Follow professional ethics, patient care standards, and safety protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Current Echo Registry certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of Echocardiographer experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment and echocardiography procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with adult and geriatric patients effectively.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds routinely.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform patient transfers.
• Strong visual, hearing, and manual dexterity skills required for patient testing and equipment handling.
