Shift: 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.

Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.

Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Required Credentials: Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80%, only 2 attempts permitted. Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization, only 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization, only 2 attempts allowed.

Unit Details: Acute care cardiac telemetry unit caring for patients with significant cardiac disease and related conditions. Typical disease processes include chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, syncope, and patients requiring echocardiograms, stress tests, and diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization. Additional procedures and cases include MitraClip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR. Unit may also care for overflow generalized med/surg and other non-cardiac patients as needed. Travelers may be asked to help precept new hires as core staffing is rebuilt.

Floating Requirements: Travelers would be the first to float to Med/Surg if needed.
