PACKAGING/TOLLING LINE WORKER

Monday - Thursday

4:30 am - 2:30 pm

$15.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within the designated job area
  performing any combination of following duties
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or
  containers to be moved
• Opens containers, using various hand tools
• Loads unloads materials onto or from pallets, boxes, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
• Installs stretch wrap, tape bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
• Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, forklift, or other device
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, Pallets, or other containers
• Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis
• Lifts objects by hand and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds, to assist machine operators
• Makes simple adjustments or repairs, like realigning wrap or etc. using hand tools.
• Assembles cartons to contain products
• Operates forklift to assist loading and moving materials products.
• May occasionally Bale Plastic, Corrugate, or Poly bags as determined by the Department Supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate Forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and other equipment utilized in the production area.
