Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Hold a current North Carolina Special Education teaching license
• Experience working with high school-aged students
• Demonstrated ability to support students with behavioral needs is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students in accordance with IEP goals and district standards
• Develop individualized lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Collaborate closely with support staff, therapists, and families
• Implement behavioral interventions and positive supports as needed
• Accurately maintain records, including progress monitoring and IEP documentation
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
