Quality Inspector III

We have an exciting opportunity for a First Shift Quality Inspector to join our team in Adelanto, CA. This position is responsible for inspecting a wide variety of parts, assemblies, tooling fixtures and material to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company specifications, and quality requirements. The role includes setting up, operating, inspecting, testing, and adjusting new and reworked tools, dies, gauges, jigs and fixtures for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications. The incumbent maintains, processes, and compiles a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy reports, records and statistics. Assignments are typically non‑routine where judgment and assessment are required to resolve moderately complex issues. The position may also conduct inspections at customer or vendor sites. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect machined parts, components, assemblies, composites and materials to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory guidelines (Military Standards, ASTM and ANSI, and ASME Code). Provide various electronic and hard copy reports of inspections and notify appropriate parties including project engineers. Set up and calibrate measuring and test equipment and schedule service and repair of equipment. Prepare, update and maintain calibration computer databases. Perform non‑destructive test (NDT) on various metallic and non‑metallic materials, parts and assemblies using a variety of methods and techniques such as radiography, helium leak testing, and/or ultrasonic testing. Observe testing and provide oversight, as necessary, to verify compliance with requirements. Interact with and provide responses to regulatory agencies and customers during their audits and review of company inspection and calibration activities. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Coordinate procurement of standard materials, services and parts for inspections. Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Perform other duties as assigned or required.
