Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist (OT) – Acute CareConflux Systems is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week travel contract in Cumming, Georgia. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic Acute Care environment, providing occupational therapy services to patients across multiple hospital units, including ICU, stroke, neurological, orthopedic, and general medical-surgical populations.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence and activities of daily living (ADLs).Treat patients with a wide range of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, neurological, stroke, orthopedic, and general debility cases.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.Perform patient and family education regarding treatment plans, adaptive equipment, and discharge recommendations.Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in Cerner EMR.Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe patient transitions.Maintain compliance with hospital policies, professional practice standards, and state regulations.Minimum QualificationsMinimum 2 years of recent Occupational Therapist experience within the specialty.Recent Acute Care Occupational Therapy experience required.Experience treating medically complex patients in a hospital setting.Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and time management skills.Required QualificationsActive Georgia Occupational Therapist LicenseAHA Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationAssignment DetailsLocation: Cumming, GAContract Length: 13 WeeksShift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMSchedule: Variable day shiftsWeekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeksHoliday Requirement: 1 summer holidayTravel Position: No local candidates within 50 milesWhy Join Conflux Systems?Competitive weekly payWeekly direct depositDedicated recruiter support throughout your assignmentFast onboarding processOpportunities with leading healthcare facilitiesReferral bonus opportunitiesJoin Conflux Systems and make a meaningful impact by helping acute care patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
