Position Summary: The incumbent provides patient care to an assigned group of patients in the Cancer Center. The nurse incorporates the psycho-motor and age appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other utilizing knowledge of patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Assists in patient research accrual by varied projects and reviewing patient schedules against available protocols. Acts as a role model to students and Clinical Nurse's new to the unit. Functions as a (PCC)Patient Care Coordinator as requested by the supervisor/manager.

Required Qualifications: Training and experience in the management of patients receiving cellular therapy Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Must be willing to travel between locations within the health system as needed. Minimum of six months demonstrated nursing experience Minimum 6 months experience working as an RN in an Inpatient or Outpatient Oncology setting OR 1 Year clinical experience and recent completion of cancer basics class and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation course from Oncology Nursing Society within the previous year Knowledge of complications associated with HSCT and CAR-T Cell Therapy Knowledge and practice of body mechanics Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated knowledge and practice of infection control techniques Current chemotherapy/biotherapy card required within 2 months of hire Current California RN license Current BLS certification BMT and CAR-T cell therapy patient population knowledge All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Ability to work effectively with colleagues, physicians and others as part of a care team Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
